Designers are loving plaid for Fall 2008. Going to Catholic school for 12 years gave me an appreciation (perhaps a tolerance in the case of my schoolmates) for the preppy, traditional pattern. The great thing about plaid is that it's eternal--sometimes the latest trend, but always classic. You really can't go wrong investing in it.

When you are at college it becomes a terrible trend when you are using forks and knives that are older than you are and all of your cooking utensils melt into your food. It is really not worth it! As I've looked at things more and more, though, I've had a couple of questions about the direction things are actually moving in this race. We have had 46 polls released this week and the overall trend seems to favor McCain. But where is he gaining and what does that mean broadly?
